Summer Safety Tips
Summer Tips from the Motor Vehicle and Arson Section
1. Always secure your vehicle doors
2. Never leave your keys in the ignition and the vehicle running
3. Never leave items of value in plain view (i.e. purses, money, checkbooks)
4. Keep matches and lighters away from small children
5. Do not set fires in dry grass or straw
6. Before a control burn, consult with your local fire department
If these tips are followed, they could help decrease motor vehicle thefts and control fires.
