Rider's Guide

The Albany Transit System is arranged in a radial pattern with routes originating at the Transfer Station located at 300 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.  Service is provided Monday-Saturday.  ATS encourage all of our transit patron to adhere to the Customer Code of Conduct, please click her for English or Spanish.  ATS fixed route schedules are available under Route Schedules and Maps and also available at the Transfer Station (Greyhound Bus Station), or by calling transit dispatch at (229) 446-2704.

How to plan your scheduled trip:

  1. Find the starting point where you will board the bus and wait at that point.
  2. Look at the time points from left to right to get an idea of where the bus will travel along it's route. Many bus stops fall between time points and do not have exact times listed on the schedule. If your bus stop is located between two time points, refer to the nearest time point shown before your location.
NOW YOU ARE READY TO RIDE
  • Arrive at the bus stop three to five minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive, according to the prior time point on the schedule. Please remember that the bus will board customers at designated bus stops only. ATS bus stops are Blue and White with a logo on them.
  • Make sure you are at the bus stop, standing, and have the exact fare readily accessible when the bus arrives. This will let the Transit Operator know that you wish to board.
  • Prior to your requested stop, signal the Transit Operator by pulling the cord near the windows. BUSES WILL ONLY STOP AT A DESIGNATED STOP to ensure safety. Remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop. Exit through the rear door to allow new customers to board through the front.
  • Make sure you have read and understand the ATS Code of Customer Conduct

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE

All ATS buses have a designated wheelchair securement area.
