The Finance Department's mission is to maintain the City's overall financial stability through sound financial planning and management. We are committed to the highest standards of accountability, accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism and innovation in providing financial services that not only meet but exceed the expectations of those we serve.

The Finance Department is responsible for safeguarding the fiscal integrity of the City of Albany through the development and implementation of sound financial policies and practices. The Finance Department is responsible for three divisions:
