Greetings from Mayor Dorothy Hubbard:
Thank you for visiting the site of the “Good Life City”. I invite you to come and personally enjoy many of our area attractions.
The City of Albany prides itself on being a City of Excellence, so please tell us if you have any questions, comments, complaints, or if you need assistance finding specific information. With the innovation and hard work of city employees, the City of Albany has been awarded the 2012 Municipal Trendsetter Award for establishing an information 311 calling center. I encourage you to call 311 to report any concerns or issues so that you can experience firsthand the excellent service that the City of Albany provides to its citizens.
Under the direction of the Board of City Commissioners, the City Manager was charged with executing an aggressive slum and blight removal program. The City of Albany also works closely with Keep Albany/Dougherty Beautiful, to keep our city clean. These efforts have been successful in assisting us with our battle against crime. We have also embraced state of the art technology and have a GIS system in place to enhance public safety.
Working together, the City of Albany and Dougherty County are bringing new life and opportunities to our downtown and I invite you again to visit our city to experience our southern charm.
As the heart and soul of Southwest Georgia, we take our role seriously and it is our goal to have a high quality of life for all of our citizens.
