Albany Police Department has put forth continuous effort in keeping our neighborhoods safe and free of crime. The 2010 Gang Task Force Meeting Schedule is now available.
The City of Albany Board of Commissioners Quarterly Meeting Schedule is now available.
Non-Emergency 311 Call Center is now available to assist you with local government service request and general information. The Center is open weekdays 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Simply dial 311 from you telephone or 229-878-3111.

After-School Tutorial Program - Sponsored by House of Mercy Community Outreach Center, Inc.: The House of Mercy Community Outreach Center will offer an After-School Tutorial Program for Elementary & Middle School students with special emphasis placed on preparing them for passing the state CRCT Tests. The classes will be held Monday through Thursday afternoons. Parents can pick up applications for admission at 711 S. Jackson St. between the hours of 10am - 2pm before August 17, 2009, and from 10am - 4pm after the program begins.

8th Annual Mardi Gras Street Festival: Bands and musicians from around the region will be taking the stage attracting a growing crowd of over 30,000 people to the downtown area and this year we expect over 40,000 people. The Flint RiverQuarium (FRQ) Plaza will host a second stage for kid’s entertainment. Also there will be children’s activities such as face painting, a jumping house, petting zoo, FRQ animal show, rock climbing, clowns dancing, and games with prizes.

Sounds of Praise in the Park: This event is to honor the life, legacy, and memories of fathers who have passed away either from cancer or any other kind of sickness, war, police officers in the line of duty, and violent crimes. Therefore we are asking the community to come out and enjoy various church choirs, praise dance ministry, quartet groups, soloists, musicians, poetry readers, puppet shows and other talents.
