"Extending the Vision, Reaching Every Victim"
Please come by the Courthouse and view the display of pinwheels in the front of the building throughout the entire week. The Pinwheels denote the average number of crime victims in Albany-Dougherty County per month. Free ribbons will be available in the lobby of the Courthouse for you to wear to show your support for Victims.
Please join us for these scheduled of events:
April 23, 10 a.m., Government Center, Room 100, Signing and presentation of the Crime Victim's Rights Week Proclamations to participating agencies
April 24, 12 p.m., A moment of silence for all victim of crimes
April 25, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Helping Hands Project, at Albany High, Make a hand print and pledge not to use violence. Presented by Liberty House Battered Woman's Shelter.
April 26, 6:30 p.m., Vigil at 2nd Mount Olive Baptist Church, located at 302 Atkins Street. This is an outdoor event, dress comfortably, limited seating. We will be standing the majority of the ceremony. Rain date will Saturday, 28th.
April 27, Project SPEAK. Giving voice to victims through poetry, literature and song.
