Attention All Registered Voters of Albany/Dougherty County

The Albany/Dougherty County Voter Registration and Elections Office recently completed the 2012 State and County (County Commission and School Board) redistricting process. All registered voters will receive, by mail, new precinct identification cards. The precincts card will be yellow in color.

Under the new redistricting plan, elected officials representing Albany/Dougherty County in the government of the State of Georgia will be included in the following state districts:

Congressional District Number: 2

State Senate District Number: 12

State House District Number(s): 151, 153, and 154

A voter wishing to verify their representatives may log onto the website of the Georgia Secretary of State at; www.sos.georgia.gov clicking on “My Voter Page (MVP)” to retrieve that information or you may contact the Elections Office at (229) 431-3247.

If you believe you are registered to vote and do not receive your new voter registration card in the mail, please contact the Elections Office for assistance. For new registrations and recently submitted changes of name or address, please allow four to six weeks to receive new registration cards. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL ELECTION DAY to resolve any questions that may delay your voting or render you ineligible to vote.
